The useful idea in The Seat of the Soul is that a choice can look successful on the outside while still conflicting with the values we want our life to express.
What we learned
“Alignment” becomes practical when it is translated into something observable: does this choice match the values, responsibilities, and kind of person we say we want to become?
That gives intention a job. It helps compare a decision with a stated direction instead of treating the strongest feeling as automatic truth.
The tension underneath the idea
Spiritual language about the soul can make inner signals sound infallible. But values, emotions, intuition, and body sensations can disagree with one another—and any of them can be influenced by fear, habit, fatigue, or wishful thinking.
What changes when we apply it carefully
For one important choice, ask:
- What value does this option support?
- What responsibility or consequence does it create?
- What am I feeling physically and emotionally?
- What facts support the choice?
- What would make me revise it?
The point is not to eliminate intuition. It is to place intuition inside a wider decision process.
What we would not turn into a rule
IAMRAIN treats spiritual language about soul and intention as philosophy or personal meaning, not as a scientifically established mechanism for reading hidden truth.
From Growth to Journal
The paired Journal focuses on the most easily overclaimed part of the process: body signals.
Listening to the Body asks what physical responses can tell us about our present state—and what separate evidence we still need before calling a decision true, safe, or right.
